The CRSIF prevention model
How Observe → Enrich → Analyze → Act → Measure turns local signals into prevention intelligence.
CRSIF was built on a simple premise: most road harm is preventable if the right signals reach the right people early enough. This guide walks through the five-step model every CRSIF program is built on.
01. Observe
Community members — students, ambassadors, residents — contribute structured, supervised observations near schools and neighbourhood routes. No confrontation, no personal driver identification, ever.
02. Enrich
Observations are connected with public collision history, school-zone boundaries and municipal context, turning isolated reports into a fuller picture of local risk.
03. Analyze
AI-assisted analysis, always paired with human review, identifies patterns and produces risk and confidence signals — never automated enforcement decisions.
04. Act
Findings become dashboards, one-page briefs and grant-ready evidence that municipalities, schools and funders can act on immediately.
05. Measure
CRSIF tracks the interventions that follow, so communities and partners can see what changed and keep improving the model over time.
