Youth Road-Safety Ambassador Network
Students earn structured, supervised community hours by contributing privacy-safe road safety observations near schools and neighbourhood routes.
The Youth Road-Safety Ambassador Network is CRSIF's umbrella youth pathway — a structured way for students to turn required community-involvement hours into real observation, data literacy and civic-communication skills.
Two age-appropriate tracks
Grade 9 students join the Road Safety Scout Program; students in Grades 10-12 join the Road Safety Ambassador Program. Both run on the same 40-hour hybrid model — training, supervised field observation, peer advocacy, and dashboard reporting.
Safe by design
Every activity happens from approved sidewalks, school properties or low-speed residential areas. Students never enter roadways, confront drivers, or collect identifying information.
Real deliverables
Students leave with logs, visual guides, dashboard entries, a safety brief, and a CRSIF certificate — not just a signed volunteer sheet.
